If you're struggling to quit a bad habit that's damaging your brain, there are a few things you can do to make it easier: 

Set realistic goals.  

Don't try to quit everything at once.  

Start with one habit and focus on quitting that one habit completely before moving on to the next one. 

Ask for help.  

Talk to your doctor or a therapist about your goal to quit.

Find a support system. 

–   Reward yourself. When you reach a milestone, reward yourself with something you enjoy.
